What is an encroachment permit and how do I get one?Need to temporarily use public space for your business, construction, or event? An Encroachment Permit is what you need. What does it cover? For just $5.00 per day, this permit allows you to temporarily occupy public areas for: Vehicles Containers Equipment Trash bins ... and similar items. Important Note: These permits are strictly for vehicles or bins. Pop-up tents or pedestrians are not allowed in these permitted spaces. The only exception is a photo booth trailer where entry and exit are from the curb, not into the street. How to purchase: You can purchase an encroachment permit for one space for one day directly from us. If you require a permit for multiple days or multiple spaces, we recommend purchasing directly from Community Development as they can better accommodate those needs.
