WELCOME TO DOWNTOWN FLAGSTAFF!

Parking in Downtown Flagstaff is convenient and easy to locate with the ParkFlag program in place.  

ParkFlag manages on-street parking throughout downtown, employee permits, resident permits, and 2 hour time-limited parking.  Parking Aides also serve as Ambassadors, providing high-level customer service and answering your questions about parking and all-things Downtown.

Public Parking Tips
  • Public parking downtown is $1 an hour. 

  • Know your license plate!  Helpful Tip: take a picture of your license plate with your phone.

  • Your parking receipt does not need to be on your dash.

  • You can pay at any kiosk.

  • Overnight parking is allowed at the Phoenix Avenue lot (200 W. Phoenix Ave) by permit only.

  • You can park for free outside of the managed parking area, and after 5pm and on weekends at City and County lots.  Look for the P on the map - click here.

  WHERE?

  • On-street, curbside spaces downtown, except for designated 2-hour spots

  • Phoenix Avenue Lot (no overnight parking allowed)

  • Lumberyard Lot

  • Heritage Square Garage (hourly rate varies)

  • There are privately operated surface lots with different pricing and hours of operation - please check signage when parking.

  WHEN?​​

  • Look for signs showing the schedule posted above each kiosk.

  • ParkFlag hours:

    • Sun - Thur: 9am - 5pm​

    • Fri - Sat: 9am - 8pm

  • Winter parking restrictions are in place November 1 - April 1.  During this time, parking on city streets and alleyways is prohibited from midnight or 3 am** to 7 am to allow snow plowing and removal. 

**Restricted hours may be either midnight or 3 am in downtown.  Please look for signage to confirm hours.

  HOW?

  • Pay at any kiosk with a credit/debit card.  

  • Pay cash at the following kiosks:

    • Southeast corner of Leroux St. and Aspen Ave.;

    • Southwest corner of Aspen Ave. and San Francisco St.;

    • South San Francisco by the Lumberyard

    • Visitor Center, 1 E. Route 66;

    • City Hall, 211 W. Aspen;

    • County Courthouse, mid-block on San Francisco St.

  • Pay online by clicking HERE.

    • This is also a great option if you would like to schedule parking in advance.

  • Download the Flowbird app on your mobile phone ($.23 per transaction convenience fee applies).  Sign up to receive notice before your time expires, and extend time directly from your phone!
